In a surprising turn, Gladiator 2 was overlooked for Best Film, and its lead actor, Paul Mescal, did not make the BAFTA longlist for Best Actor. Demi Moore, 62, who recently won her first acting accolade at the Globes for Substance, has been nominated for Leading Actress, alongside Cynthia Erivo for Wicked and Saoirse Ronan for The Outrun. Industry insiders believe Moore’s nomination may enhance her chances for an Oscar.
