Selena Gomez’s fiancé is teasing that new music may be on the horizon for her.

Record producer Benny Blanco, 36, posted a short, enigmatic video on TikTok on Friday after a fan urged him to help Selena get back to making music.

The sweet clip came shortly after the couple was seen assisting emergency responders and providing food to victims of the LA Fires.

In Benny’s TikTok, he shared a fan’s request to create “some new songs for our queen.” As an accomplished songwriter, he’s an ideal collaborator for the 32-year-old singer and actress.

The three-second video begins with Benny turning a doorknob and entering a room where Selena was relaxed on a sofa, her feet up, with a microphone setup in front of her.

“Hi,” Benny said.

“Hi!” Selena responded, her voice warm and cheerful, breaking into a wide smile at the sight of him.

Though Benny didn’t explain the clip, it seemed that the fan’s wish for more music from Selena might soon be fulfilled. The scene suggested she was in a home studio, with a classic Minimoog analog synthesizer beside her.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from Selena, as it’s been over five years since her last LP, Rare, was released in January 2020. That album achieved commercial success, topping the Billboard 200 and receiving favorable reviews.

Following Rare, she released an expanded deluxe edition and a seven-track Spanish-language EP, Revelación, in 2021. Since then, she has released several singles, including collaborations and tracks for her documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.

Her latest standalone singles, Single Soon and Love On, were released in 2023 and February 2024, respectively, with Single Soon co-produced by Benny.

The couple has been together since going public in June 2023 and announced their engagement in December.
