On Friday night, Selena Gomez and her sister enjoyed a delicious pizza outing at the Beverly Hills location of Jon & Vinny’s, a popular American Italian restaurant in Los Angeles.
Selena, known for her role in Wizards of Waverly Place, showcased a stylish look with a black-and-white houndstooth blazer and a small black bag, while her dark hair was worn straight with a middle part. She was spotted leaving the restaurant with a box full of pizza leftovers.
Recently, Selena made a cameo in the pilot episode of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the new iteration of the Disney show that launched her career. She has announced plans to return for one of the final two episodes and is also an executive producer for the series. In an emotional Instagram post, she shared behind-the-scenes moments from the finale shoot, expressing her joy in making kids laugh and thanking the show for reigniting her youthful spirit.
The 32-year-old star of The Only Murders In The Building wore light-wash jeans and a classic white T-shirt under her chic blazer. In her Instagram post, she wrote, “NOTHING will ever beat making little kids laugh. Thank you, @disneywizardsseries, for making me feel like a girl again!! I hope you all watch!”
The original Wizards of Waverly Place aired from 2007 to 2012, and the spinoff premiered last month. When asked about the show’s revival, Selena remarked, “Bring this back for you and everyone else who has never seen it before. It’s the best feeling in the world. This is what gave me everything I have today, and I’ll never forget where I began.”
In addition to her nostalgic projects, Selena is busy promoting her upcoming film Emilia Perez, which is generating early Oscar buzz. The Spanish-language musical features Karla Sofia Gascon as a drug cartel boss who fakes her death to transition into a woman. The film received acclaim at its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, earning nominations for best actress for Selena, Karla, Zoe Saldana, and Adriana Paz.
Emilia Perez opened in select theaters in the US and Canada on November 1 and debuted on Netflix this past Wednesday, earning rave reviews from critics.
