In the Instagram Live video from 2020, Diddy claimed to have adopted Ava, stating that he wanted her to have a “Black parent.” The video showed Diddy planting a kiss on Ava’s cheek and announcing the adoption with her mother’s consent. Ava introduced herself, and Diddy referred to her as “Ava Baroni-Combs,” sparking further intrigue. Ava even claimed that she had been “on the streets” until Diddy “decided to be a caring man” and took her in.

While the video initially presented the idea of adoption as a heartwarming story, TMZ reports that Diddy never legally adopted Ava. According to their sources, Ava grew up alongside Diddy’s twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, due to the close friendship between her parents and Kim Porter, but she was raised by her biological parents.
