MAGICAL RETURN? Selena Gomez Addresses Potential Comeback in ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ Reboot Following Pilot Cameo

Selena Gomez has made it clear if she would be returning to the Wizards of Waverly Place revival.

'NOTHING will ever beat making little kids laugh… thank you @disneywizardsseries for making the little girl in me so happy!! Hope you guys watch!!' she wrote

Selena, who portrayed a teenage girl with magical abilities, became well-known thanks to the 2007–2012 Disney Channel original series.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, a follow-up series that debuted on the Disney Channel last month, brought the franchise back to life this year.

In the opening episode of the remake, Selena played her former character from the original series, Alex Russo, bringing viewers back into the universe of the show.

David is part of the principal cast of the reboot, alongside new faces including Janice LeAnn Brown, 13, and Alkaio Thiele, 14, who were also in Selena's carousel

As an executive producer on the new program, the 32-year-old pop sensation has now revealed that she will return for one of the last two episodes.

Ushering viewers back into the world of the show, Selena guest starred on the reboot's pilot episode as her old character Alex Russo from the original series

With a touching behind-the-scenes Instagram album from the finale shot, which seemed to have happened in front of a studio audience, she revealed the news.

Elena posted a selfie with a group of kids who appeared to be the audience because they were positioned in front of tiers of chairs.

“There’s nothing better than making young children laugh.” I’m grateful to @disneywizardsseries for bringing joy to my inner child! I hope you all watch! She penned.

Her album also featured a picture of herself on the sitcom set with David Henrie, who played her character's brother Justin Russo on the original series

She also has a photo of herself on the sitcom set with David He on her carousel.

Along with newcomers Janice LeAnn Brown, 13, and Alkaio Thiele, 14, who previously appeared on Selena’s record, David is a member of the reboot’s main cast.

Now the 32-year-old pop star, who is also an executive producer on the new show, has disclosed she will be back for one of the last two episodes

After getting her big break on Barney and Friends when she was ten years old, Selena initially shot to popularity on the original Wizards of Waverly Place.

She previously disclosed that she felt’stunted’ by being in Hollywood at such a young age, despite her affection for the show that made her a child star.

She told Elle, “I have no regrets, I have a great family, and I’m grateful that my parents established the rules.”

But if I were thinking about myself right now, I doubt I would have done it so young. She said, “I felt stunted by a lot of things.”

“It didn’t help me develop a sense of self in my twenties to add a lot of pressure from a lot of people.” It was an extremely challenging period. I deal with it on a daily basis.
