He did, however, pause to answer a call from his former teammate from their time together on the England Under-16 squad, Noah Ohio.

Ohio, who plays for Utrecht in the Netherlands, was playing for his nation abroad.

Ohio asked a young youngster who his favorite player was as they were touring a children’s hospital with some of the Dutch team.

Ohio advised the two to give the Real Madrid star a call when the child responded with Bellingham.

Bellingham pulled out his phone and FaceTimed Ohio and the child to ask how they were doing after he scored in Thursday’s Three Lions 2-1 loss to Greece.

Ohio translated, then held out his phone and told the child to stand behind Bellingham, who lifted his thumb for a photo.

The 21-year-old Bellingham donated his England blazer to keep a wheelchair-bound child warm prior to the March match against Belgium. He therefore often makes the effort to keep an eye out for children.

Additionally, he gave a blanket to a little ballboy during last season’s Spanish Cup victory over Arandina.

“He’s just a magnificent human being, he’s a role model not just for the young kids in Birmingham, but now the nation,” Bellingham’s former Birmingham coach Mike Dodds said of the midfield player.

Everyone in his immediate area is treated with compassion and complete empathy by him. As a person, I am speechless when it comes to expressing my admiration for him.”He’s just a magnificent human being, he’s a role model not just for the young kids in Birmingham, but now the nation,” Bellingham’s former Birmingham coach Mike Dodds said of the midfield player.
