She announced last week that she is starting a business called WonderMind, a platform dedicated to dispelling stigmas related to mental health.
A few days later, Selena Gomez was seen landing at New York City’s JFK airport.
The 29-year-old singer wore an orange sweater and matching sweatpants for a laid-back vibe.
Selena accessorized her neon orange turtleneck sweater with matching trousers and a little logo.
The actress wore a black facemask, gold hoops for earrings, white Miu Miu sneakers, and a black and white Miu Miu purse.
To complete her trip ensemble, Selena kept her hair pulled back and applied minimal makeup.
Following her appearance on the cover of Entrepreneur Magazine alongside mother Mandy Teefy and Daniella Pierson to introduce their business WonderMind, she is on a trip today.
Selena talked candidly about WonderMind and her struggles with mental health in the December issue.
The Rare artist discussed her personal issues with mental health, particularly with regard to social media, while highlighting the significance of mental health.
Mandy, Daniella, and Selena were motivated to start the business in order to mainstream discussions around mental health.
In February 2022, Wondermind begins with interviews, articles, tools, podcasts, and a daily newsletter.
In 2015, Selena disclosed that she had been diagnosed with lupus and had undergone chemotherapy to treat it. In 2017, she underwent a kidney transplant. Selena has been very transparent about her challenges.
Her lupus caused her to struggle with anxiety, sadness, and panic attacks. In 2016, she declared she was ‘taking some time off’ to concentrate on her mental health.
Selena previously stated that receiving a bipolar disorder diagnosis in 2018 was a relief for her since it “explained so much” about her difficulties.
She is currently working with her mother and Pierson, who spoke candidly about her OCD, anxiety, and ADHD during her interview with The Newsette last year.
“I got so angry that my story was twisted,” Gomez explained, recalling how the press chastised her for being candid about self-doubt. She said she felt a connection to Pierson because of the revelations.
With the goal of making talking about mental health more fashionable, the three are now preparing to launch WonderMind, and Selena’s relationships with her business partners are stronger than ever.
“It’s one of the times I felt closest to my mom—us getting together to discuss something we’ve all gone through in our own way,” Gomez remarked. It was amazing. It was even better to be understood by Daniella.
