Although Travis Kelce was unable to attend his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s performance this weekend in Miami, his close friends and family stood in for him.
The 34-year-old pop sensation began the last leg of her Eras Tour this past weekend, beginning with three shows in Miami. However, her sold-out events conflicted with the NFL’s exciting schedule for Week 7.
The tight end was unable to travel to Florida due to his football commitments, as the Kansas City Chiefs were getting ready for their Super Bowl rematch with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon.
But before the game at Levi Stadium on Saturday afternoon, the 35-year-old three-time Super Bowl winner and his champion teammates took off for the Bay Area, his closest friend Ross Travis showed up at Hard Rock Stadium in his honor.
Former NFL player Travis was seen supporting his friend’s girlfriend during Swift’s second performance in Miami by sporting an official ‘Tortured Poets Department’ hoodie.
According to reports, he was even spotted in a gated VIP area with Austin, the brother of the 14-time Grammy Award winner.
Travis is well acquainted with Swift, having watched several Chiefs games with him as a close buddy of the tight end.
Travis—a former tight end himself—even posted a joyful photo of the “Anti-Hero hitmaker” and himself following Kansas City’s Super Bowl triumph in February.
Nor was Saturday night his first Eras Tour encounter. In February, he traveled to Australia with Kelce, and together they attended the singer’s Sydney gig.
“Now that I know…,” After the show, Kelce’s pal posted something on Instagram stories. “That was truly amazing.”
Not just Travis, but a number of Kelce’s close associates have witnessed the pop superstar perform three hours of her greatest hits in front of thousands of devoted admirers.
On Friday, Jason, Kelce’s brother, went to Hard Rock Stadium with his wife Kylie and their two kids, Wyatt, 5, and Elliotte, 3, to see the pop sensation perform live at her first of three Miami gigs.
At the ‘Swiftie’ equivalent of the Super Bowl, Jason celebrated his brother’s A-List girlfriend’s accomplishment in style.
At the sold-out event, the former NFL player was seen sipping a beer with friend and former Eagles teammate Beau Allen.
Later, he was spotted displaying his trademark dancing steps and doing a routine to “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart,” which happens to be his all-time favorite song from Swift’s vast career.
One of the three dance steps that Jason’s wife Kylie claims he knows is flapping his arms up and down and swaying his hips in a viral video.
In the meantime, Kylie, who Jason and Travis adoringly refer to as “Princess Kyana,” indulged her inner Miss Americana.
