HIDDEN GEM UNVEILED: The songwriter behind Rihanna’s iconic hit ‘SOS’ reveals a surprising secret about the song’s second verse that fans have missed until now!

The SOS songwriter for Rihanna is blowing people’s minds with a track secret that has been utterly ignored for almost twenty years.

Along with Jonathan Rotem and Edward Cobb, E Kidd Bogart wrote the 2006 hit, and from the song’s second stanza, they had been sitting on a big Easter egg.

Examining the hit song’s details Record executive Bogart, 46, disclosed that SOS consists of number one song names from the 1980s in a recent interview with Daniel Wall.

I thought it would be really brilliant, so the entire second stanza of that song is 80 song titles linked together like sentences, he said.

“They’re all 80s hits that peaked at number one.”

Def Jam Recordings released SOS on Valentine’s Day of 2006.

Utilizing a stereo two-bar loop from Soft Cell’s song Tainted Love, the song became Rihanna’s first number one single on the chart and was an instant hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three weeks in a row.

In addition to penning SOS for Rihanna, Bogart also penned Britney Spears’ songs Love Me Down and Everybody, Beyoncé’s Halo, and Hello.

The 36-year-old Rihanna spoke candidly earlier this week about parenthood and the reasons she views it as a “Olympic sport.”

Over the previous two years, the owner of Fenty Beauty and her partner A$AP Rocky welcomed two children into their family.

After giving birth to a newborn boy named RZA in May 2022, Rihanna became a first-time mother. In August 2023, she welcomed a second son named Riot Rose.

When asked about what it’s like to be a boy mom in a recent red carpet interview with Access Hollywood, the Umbrella hitmaker replied, “It’s an Olympic sport for real.”

“I love it so much, I literally just look at them and live through them, and I’m amazed by every new thing they discover, even their boundaries,” Rihanna exclaimed.

She also clarified that she is learning from her two sons in addition to them from her.

The businesswoman remarked, “They’re teaching me how to be their mom, just as much as I’m teaching them how to be in this world and guide them as best I can.”
