On Thursday, Selena Gomez went out in New York City following her, and the ensemble of her peculiar French musical picture Emilia Perez was awarded a much-coveted French honour.
In the Spanish-language crime comedy, Gomez, 32, plays a vicious cartel lord who pretends to die in order to change into a woman.
Adriana Paz, Edgar Ramirez, Zoe Saldana, and Karla Sofía Gascón all make appearances in the Jacques Audiard-directed movie.
At Villa Albertine, the French Institute for Culture and Education in New York, Gomez and the other members of the Emilia Perez troupe were given the Orderdre des Arts et des Lettres.
As she uploaded images from the event to Instagram, the billionaire expressed her gratitude to Villa Albertine and Ambassador Bouabdallah.
“I express my gratitude to @mbouabdallah_ for bestowing the Chevalier dans l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres upon my cast tonight at @villa.albertine in honour of Emilia Perez!” An alumni of Disney Channel wrote.
She uploaded pictures of herself with ambassador Bouabdallah and the cast, their champagne flutes clanking, along with a selfie showcasing her award.
She accessorised her chic blazer dress for the important evening with black pumps and glistening gold shoes.
