Madonna was all love for Emilia Pérez, Selena Gomez’s latest movie.
In recent Instagram posts, the 66-year-old Queen of Pop hailed the Jacques Audiard-directed film as a “masterpiece” with “unbelievable performances.”
The Papa Don’t Preach hitmaker celebrated with the cast after the movie’s Monday New York Film Festival showing, and she then shared four social media stories.
In a particular picture, she was positioned behind Selena while they posed alongside other actors from the movie, including Edgar Ramirez, Zoe Saldaña, Adriana Paz, Karla Sofía Gascón, and dancer/choreographer Damien Jalet.
With a layer of silver chains around her neck and a warm black fur jacket on, Madonna looked stunning.
Her blond hair fell in waves from a parting in the middle.
The actress posted two movie posters on her Instagram Stories as well.
On one of the posters, she scrawled in pink letters, “Wow.”
Selena plays the transgender Mexican cartel leader’s wife, Jessi Del Monte, in the critically praised film directed by Audiard. It opens in select theatres on November 1 and goes live on Netflix on November 13.
“Making this film was worth all the blood, sweat, and tears,” 648.8 million-follower Gomez said last week on social media.
This project, @karsiagascon @zoesaldana @adytapaz @edgarramirez25, makes me incredibly proud, Jacques. (the whole family) and am eager for everyone to see it! My life was revolutionised by this movie!
