Rihanna reveals her reasons for shielding son Riot from the media: ‘I don’t want anyone to see my extraordinary boy’

Nearly two months after bringing her newborn son Riot into the world, Rihanna finally announced the arrival of her and A$AP Rocky’s second kid through a series of sweet family images.

During a Monday photo session, the couple captured these priceless moments as Rocky cheerfully and proudly cradled their newborn boy. Riot looked adorable in tan boots, matching dungarees and a pink hat. When he wasn’t curled up under a blanket, he appeared genuinely content in his new position as the family’s youngest member.

Rihanna was seen cradling the couple’s eldest son, RZA, who, at 1 year old, looked equally charming in a gray shirt with yellow sleeves, jeans, and a pint-sized pair of his mom’s latest Fenty x Puma Avanti C sneakers. In many pictures, the child was seen standing, while in others, he was shown having fun riding on Rocky’s shoulders.

Regarding the parents, the singer of “Umbrella” dazzled in a denim jacket and blue leggings that were both informal and fashionable. Rocky wore pants, a silver chain, and a white tank top to fit the carefree atmosphere. Later, he added a green flannel.

Riot, the family’s one-month-old boy, was also the subject of more personal household images. In those photos, the little one was lying on a blanket, wearing a cozy pink sweatsuit and white knee socks.

Riot, Rihanna’s second kid, was born on August 1st, following the Grammy Award-winning singer’s noticeable withdrawal from her well-liked pregnancy fashion shows.

The 35-year-old singer had proudly shown her expanding baby belly in a number of chic ensembles throughout the year. This run started with her legendary Super Bowl performance in February, during which she electrified the audience with a medley of her greatest hits and flaunted her tummy in a red leather outfit, revealing her pregnancy to the world.
Before discreetly welcoming her second kid, Rihanna continued to turn heads with her pregnancy outfits. She wore a sheer Jean Paul Gaultier gown, a glittery Valentino bralette, and many more eye-catching ensembles.

Rihanna had already dabbled in audacious maternity fashion. When she was pregnant with her first son, RZA, born in May 2022, the singer embraced similarly daring fashion choices.

Reflecting on her pregnancy fashion, Rihanna told British Vogue in a March cover story, “Dressing for pregnancy was such a piece of cake.”

The superstar continues to make headlines, not only for her fashion and music but also for how she navigates family life, choosing to shield her children from the public eye as much as possible—ensuring that her son Riot grows up out of the media spotlight.
