On Sunday night, Selena Gomez posted a cute video of her goddaughter Aubriella supporting her from home while she was up for her first Emmy.
The pop star’s godchild can be seen fervently supporting Gomez, 32, in a touching video that she posted to her Instagram Story. The video shows the godchild cheering for Gomez as her name is announced as one of the contenders for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series.
“Mia, mia!” Excitement bouncing in her veins, Aubriella yelled at the television.
The creator of Rare Beauty, who went to the event with her presumed fiancé Benny Blanco, said, “My goddaughter made my night…,” as the caption for the video. FYI, my name is Tia [aunt].
In the end, Gomez’s category was won by Jean Smart for her performance as legendary Las Vegas stand-up comedian Deborah Vance in Max’s popular series Hacks, the actress.
Aubriella is the child of Priscilla Cosme, Gomez’s cousin.
According to Elle, the Lose You to Love Me hitmaker was Aubriella’s godmother back in 2020.
Priscilla posted the information on her Instagram Story, along with a photo of Gomez cuddling her young daughter and the words, “Every princess deserves a fairy godmother.” Shall I have you for mine?
The former teen star, who became well-known from the Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place, is also said to be Priscilla’s godmother for Aiden, her eldest child.
Before her baby was born in 2015, Gomez posted a cute photo with her cousin in which she expressed how “beyond happy” she was to be “a godmother now.”
