Selena Gomez has disclosed that she has health issues and “cannot carry” children.
The 32-year-old hitmaker of “Lose You to Love Me,” who recently shocked a high school volleyball team in Colorado, said to Vanity Fair on Monday that she had to “grieve” her inability to conceive naturally.
She admitted to the newspaper, “I have never said this, but I am sadly unable to bear my own children.”
Many of my medical conditions could endanger both my life and the lives of the unborn child. I had to grieve for a time about that.
The actress is adamant that she wants to become a mother someday, even though her journey would ‘look different’.
“It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it,” she said to the site. I had assumed that everything would work out like it does for everyone.
“With that, I’m in a much better place.” The fact that there are amazing people ready to adopt or surrogate is a blessing in my opinion, as these are two extremely exciting opportunities for me.
It truly made me appreciate all the alternative channels available to those who are aching to become mothers. Count me among those people. She remarked, “I’m looking forward to that journey, but it will look a little different.”
Selena declared that the child will become “mine” whether through adoption or surrogacy.
“In the end, it doesn’t really matter to me.” I’ll own it. “It will be mine,” she said.
The Wizards of Waverly Place actress had made no secret of her strong wish to become a mother when she was thirty-five, even before she started dating music producer Benny Blanco.
