Selena Gomez, 32, is a billionaire after more than 20 years in the spotlight thanks to hard work and a lot of astute business choices.

This includes beginning her acting career as a young child on the children’s show Barney & Friends and becoming a teen idol on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place.

Her decision to launch her profession at such a young age has proven to be extremely profitable, as Bloomberg reports that she currently has a net worth of $1.3 billion.

The magazine claimed that while though the Lose You to Love Me hitmaker is most recognised for her work as an actor and singer, the majority of her money originates from her 2020 beauty line, Rare Beauty.

Time claims that Rare Beauty is “a top seller at Sephora and available in 36 countries,” and that its revenue has only increased with time.

The outlet stated in May that following their 2020 launch, their yearly revenues increased by 100% in 2021–2022 and 200% in the following year, reaching $400 million for the year that ended in May.

A $23 liquid blush that was her brand’s best-selling item last year earned in $70 million. 

Her endorsement campaigns for “Puma, worth a reported $30 million, and Coach, a $10 million deal,” are among of her most lucrative deals. 

With over 424 million followers, she is the third most followed person on Instagram and can earn an estimated $2.6 million for each sponsored feed post on the platform.

She has also amassed a fortune from brand collaborations, her music, and her roles on TV shows like Only Murders in the Building, which was recently renewed for a fifth season. 

Gomez has put out three studio albums, two EPs, seven singles, four promotional singles, and fourteen music videos during her solo career, despite the fact that she has recently leaned more towards acting. 

As the lead vocalist for Selena Gomez & the Scene, she released three albums with the group: Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010), and When the Sun Goes Down (2011). According to one of her fan pages, “all three albums reached the Top 10 and have sold over 6.7 million copies with combined sales in the United States.”

Along with her best friend Taylor Swift, who also joined the ten-digit club last year, she becomes one of the nation’s youngest self-made billionaires with this financial achievement.
