Brittany Mahomes cringed at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s “trash” behaviour at Sunday’s US Open final, which has been widely criticised by fans.

Taylor and Travis, accompanied by Brittany and her spouse Patrick, went to Arthur Ashe Stadium to witness the final Grand Slam match of the year between Italy’s top-ranked player Jannik Sinner and American player Taylor Fritz.

During the last moments, the cameras panted to the super-couple of celebrities, who were singing “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness, a popular rock song from the 2000s, from the stands. A video of the performance became viral on the internet.

Many viewers commented on how uncomfortable Brittany and Patrick appeared to be next to Taylor and Travis as they sang along enthusiastically. The Chiefs wide receiver appeared to be asking her quarterback husband, “Do you know this song?” in a bewildered tone.

Following Patrick’s response, a mortified Brittany seemed to exclaim, “Like, what?”
