As his career in the WWE enters its latter stages, John Cena has announced his intention to retire.

One of the most recognisable WWE stars of all time, Cena has won 16 world titles during his career, tied with Ric Flair for the most.
During his 22-year employment in the industry, he has maintained his heroic character as a babyface despite several rivalries since his 2002 debut.

His last appearance on WWE TV was in November when he competed against Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Solo Sikoa has been embroiled in The Bloo line’s battle with Coby Rhoades and Seth Rollins in recent months.

Even though fans are getting used to Cena not being around, the veteran has said he only has a few years left as a performer, so it won’t be long until he’s gone for good.

As he nears the end of his WWE career, John Cena has announced his retirement intentions.

Presently 46 years old, the veteran has made no secret of his aim to retire before turning 50.

Since making his debut in the WWE in 2002, Cena, pictured in 2005, has been an essential member of the organisation.

“You know what, my line in the sanʀ is 50,” As reported by the Wrestling Observer, Cena recently… “I would like to attempt to do it prior to that.” But I’m just going to tweet, “Peace out, see ya,” when I’m fifty. That’s all, I’m good.

I was completely engrossed in WWE, and it was my constant love. Though I’m really appreciative, I’ve also developed and there are a lot of other things in life that pique my curiosity. Being a wonderful wife and partner is undoubtedly one of those. I just want to make an effort to use those channels as much as possible.

The 46-year-old Cena stated earlier this year that he wanted to call it quits before turning 50, and his recent tenure at the organisation doesn’t seem to have changed his mind.

He made sporadic appearances in the WWE throughout the previous year’s Hollywoo strikes, culminating in his bout against Sikoa. Fans are optimistic that he will win his 17th world title prior to the end of his career.

Additionally, he made an unexpected return at Money In The Bank at the O2 last year, promising British fans a WrestleMania before declaring that the location would be his final match.

Prior to departing once more during the Hollywoo strikes last year, Cena was a frequent guest on WWE TV.

He crosses paths with people like The Rock (left), and at WrestleMania, he might run across his old opponent once more.

Now that he’s back in Hollywood, Cena is striking a nake pose at this week’s Oscars.‌

With Cena hinting at a possible part in recent me~‌ia interviews, it is still unknown what his position will be at WrestleMania next month.

The actor, who posed naked at the Oscars this past weekend, is unlikely to have a match, but he could be able to make an appearance in Philadelphia as a guest or host.

Roman Reigns vs. Roman Reigns will be the main event, and according to the Wrestling Observer, Cena is expected to do “something fun, short and memorable and with substance” if he makes an appearance.
