Justin Theroux and Selena Gomez were seen giving each other a hearty embrace on Sunday night at the 16th annual CNN Heroes gala in New York City.

At the occasion, Justin’s cute pit bull Kuma watched and even received some back rubs from Selena as the thirty-year-old singer of Come & Get It and the fifty-one-year-old star of The Leftovers enjoyed a sweet reunion and conversation. 

It occurs four years after the actor’s breakup with 53-year-old Jennifer Aniston in early 2018 led to rumours that the two were romantically involved. 

Gomez looked stunning with her black hair styled in a sophisticated updo, elegant French tip nails, and picture-perfect makeup.

Theroux, meanwhile, looked sharp in a grey suit and maintained his customarily well-groomed beard.

\Selena stepped by and showered Kuma with love while the two appeared to be having a nice chat with Justin sitting at a table with his dog.

During Hurricane Harvey in 2018, Justin notably adopted the female dog from Austin Pets Alive, whose name means ‘bear’ in Japanese.

Later, Kuma went on stage with Theroux to honour co-founder of Peace of Mind Dog Rescue Carie Broecker for her “impactful work serving senior people and senior dogs” by giving her a CNN Heroes trophy. 

Rumours of a romance between Gomez and Theroux surfaced in 2018 following their respective, traumatic breakups.

Apparently, the two had known each other for years through their manager, but after their breakups, they became closer. 

In May 2018, they were observed having lunch together with Paul Rudd, an actor who acted alongside Gomez in the 2016 movie The Fundamentals of Caring. 

After a brief reconciliation, the Wolves hitmaker and her on-again, off-again partner Justin Bieber, 28, had split up at the time.

After then, Bieber started dating Hailey Bieber, who is 26 years old.  

After three years of marriage, Theroux and Aniston had recently separated.
