As a result of her hiding her ring finger in her most recent Instagram photo, admirers of Selena Gomez have noted that she and Benny Blanco are the subject of engagement rumours.

Her decision to upload a mirror selfie in which she purposefully covered her left hand with a pink heart emoji reignited speculation that the couple, who began dating privately in mid-2023, were getting married. 

The actress, who is 32, from Only Murders in the Building, looked stylish in a champagne outfit in the photo that she shared on Thursday on her Instagram Story. 

With her 36-year-old boyfriend in the background, she wrote, “Night out,” as the caption for the picture. 

Fans were quick to notice that she had placed an emoji, and they flocked to X (previously Twitter) to share their beliefs that the CEO of Rare Beauty had proposed.

One X user proclaimed, “Selena Gomez announcing she’s engaged by intentionally trying not to announce that she’s engaged.”

‘I believe Selena Gomez recently got engaged, because she’s hiding her left hand on her most recent Instagram story,’ another person commented. 

A third said, “She’s def engaged [sobbing emoji].” 

This is the post that follows a ‘hint’ from gossip website DeuxMoi, which claimed earlier this month that the Grammy nominee ‘got engaged over the weekend’ while’surrounded by friends at their customary beach house hang out’. 

Gomez said in May that if she hadn’t found the right person by the time she was 35, she intended to adopt a child herself. 

“I spent five years by myself, and I became quite accustomed to it,” Selena remarked at the Time 100 Most Influential Companies celebration. 

Many individuals fear being alone, and for about two years, I think I tormented myself mentally over being alone before coming to terms with it.

“I then devised my plan, whereby, if I had not met anyone by the age of 35, I would adopt,” she stated.

But last month, she declared that Blanco, whom she had met the previous year, was the love of her life. 

During an earlier appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, Blanco referred to Gomez as “the coolest, the nicest, [and] the sweetest.” 

She genuinely resembles my best friend. We chuckle nonstop,” she disclosed. 

‘That’s my next aim [to tick] on the box,’ Benny responded when questioned about having children. I have a large number of godchildren and nephews. I adore being among children.

Next, Howard enquired about Benny’s planned proposal date to the Wizards of Waverly Place actress.

I do think, “I don’t know a world where it could be better than this,” whenever I look at her, he gushed.

When Howard later revealed that he had foreseen their marriage, Benny retorted, “You and me both.”

Gomez stated, “He can’t lie to save his life,” in response to a question regarding remarks he made at the Time 100 Event regarding marriage and having kids. He will respond to questions if they are posed.

I simply treasure every second I have with him. Although I’m not sure what the future contains, I do know that he won’t be leaving anytime soon.

“They are excited at the idea of continuing to grow together and get closer,” a source recently told ET.

They also said that Selena “loves that Benny wants the best for people and is protective of her,” and “Benny thinks she is so amazing.”

It appears that their loved ones are supporting them as well. The insider emphasised, “They make each other happy and their friends and family are thrilled for them.”

In December, the Come And Get It singer and Blanco spoke clean about their six-month covert relationship. 

The Weeknd, Zedd, Nick Jonas, Taylor Lautner, and a host of other celebrities, including Zayn Malik, were among the celebrities the Wolves singer had dated in the past. 

Prior to their breakup in 2018, she also had an intermittent romance with Justin Bieber that lasted eight years.
