Since dating Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce has had to adjust to his newfound popularity. A fan once informed him that his wife “literally she just about died” after they first met.

The 34-year-old Kelce was seen questioning a group of practice-wearing admirers, “What are you guys doing in my hallway?” in a video that was uploaded to TikTok on Sunday. One of the fans then said, “You just took my wife’s breath away, literally she just almost died.” 

Ignorant to the unexpected remark, Kelce thought of a quick and clever retort, telling the fan that his wife had just fallen in love with him and was giving her the “Taylor Swift effect.” This made the group chuckle. 

August saw Kelce open about how much he ‘hates’ being apart from Swift as they work through the challenges of long-distance relationships and their different schedules, which include NFL preseason and touring.

An insider told Life & Style, “Obviously, he can’t skip out on training camp to follow her around and he doesn’t have more than a day off at a time.”

“It would make sense for her to just stay put and finish all her dates and do long distance with him for a few weeks,” the person said. “She has tour dates in Europe for the next month before she gets a nice long break.”

More than a year after Kelce, the three-time Super Bowl winner, attended one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts at Arrowhead Stadium and made it known that he tried to give her his number, the two have formed a new, albeit short-lived, connection. 

In a July 26, 2023, New Heights podcast episode, Kelce revealed that he attempted to offer the singer a friendship bracelet.

The tight end commented at the time, “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings.” 

Travis said, “You know which one,” in response to his brother Jason’s attempt to clarify whether his sibling was talking to his jersey number or his phone. Jason is Travis’ co-host.
