Sophie Turner feels appreciative In the midst of her divorce from Joe Jonas, Taylor Swift allowed her to remain in her New York City flat.

The former cast member of “Game of Thrones” told British Vogue for her June 2024 cover story, which was released on Wednesday, “Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year.”

When Turner, 28, first met Swift, 34, almost ten years ago, they weren’t close because Jonas, 34, had dated the “Love Story” singer for a short while in 2008.

Sophie Turner thanked Taylor Swift for allowing her to remain in her flat while she and Joe Jonas were divorcing.

“Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year,” Turner said in an interview with British Vogue.

After reaching out to Swift, the “Game of Thrones” alumna explained that Swift gave her free accommodation in her Tribeca flat.

Turner did, however, reveal that in September 2023, she contacted Swift for assistance since she and the couple’s two daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, required a place to stay following Jonas’s divorce filing. The Grammy winner volunteered her pad in response.

She took my kids and me and gave us a house and a safe place to live, for which I’ve never been more thankful to anyone. “She truly possesses a heart of gold,” the actress exclaimed.

In October 2023, Page Six revealed exclusively that although Turner had initially stayed at a hotel in Midtown, Swift had let the English singer to bunk at her $50 million Tribeca estate rent-free.

Turner and her daughters moved in to Swift’s home in September 2023.

Turner said, “I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her.”

Turner has since returned to her home in the UK, despite being seen coming and going from the flat multiple times while hanging out with Swift in the autumn.

The most incredible thing I saw at that time was the support I received from the women in my life. She told the magazine, “I felt so embraced and so protected.

The “X-Men” actress refers to the breakup with the Jonas Brothers member and the days that followed as “the worst few days” of her life.

The “X-Men” star lived with the “Cruel Summer” singer amid her divorce from Jonas in the fall.

Turner was very open about her breakup with Jonas.

“It seemed as though I was viewing a film about my life that I hadn’t directed, produced, or acted in. It was startling. In the interview, she remarked, “I’m still in shock.

Turner was forthright in her response to rumours that Jonas had broken up with her because “she likes to party” and he would rather “stay at home” with their children.

“Mum guilt is very real—I truly do torture myself over every decision I make as a mother, which is why it stung! All I could do was keep telling myself that this was all untrue. You’ve never been a partier and you’re a decent mother,” she remarked.

“Those were the worst few days of my life,” Turner said of the time following Jonas’ divorce filing.

Determining a custody plan for their two kids, Willa and Delphine, turned their breakdown into an ugly divorce.

Their divorce took a bad turn in regard to their parenting plans. Turner went so far as to accuse Jonas of kidnapping their kids at one time, saying he had been keeping their girls’ passports denied, which kept them from being able to move to the UK.

After disputing the charges, the singer of “Cake by the Ocean” later dismissed the lawsuit in January.

The former couple eventually agreed on a temporary custody arrangement after consenting to a secret divorce settlement.

Turner, however, decided to “reactivate” their divorce in March following their inability to reach a custody agreement.

“I’m unhappy with the way everything played out, especially when it comes to my children,” she admitted.

The Emmy-nominated actress went on to say that she hopes to co-parent amicably with Jonas in the future.

Turner clarified that she intends to maintain a cordial relationship with Jonas for the benefit of their girls, despite their relationship’s speed bumps.

“I’m not happy with how things turned out, particularly with regard to my kids. In this whole thing, they are the victims. However, I believe we’re doing the best we can,” she stated to the newspaper. “I have no doubt that we can work things out. All I can ask for is for Joe to be a terrific parent to our kids.

“I want to throw a big Christmas celebration where my girls can spend time with their dad, Joe’s entire family, and their grandparents. I don’t give a damn about politics; all I want is for everyone to support the girls and make them feel loved.”
