And over the past few days, Taylor Swift returned to New York City to savour the comforts of home by taking advantage of a little respite from the road.
She was photographed leaving her Manhattan apartment looking refreshed and showing off her endless legs in a pair of black denim shorts, so it looks like the rest and relaxation did her some good.

Superstar sighting: On Tuesday, Taylor Swift was seen leaving her flat in New York City.
The Delicate singer ran down the steps and headed out to the busy streets, her envy gams looking immaculate.
Taylor sported white trainers, a light blue sweater and a tiny bag slung over her shoulder to complete her laid-back ensemble for the day.
Her long bond tresses were pulled back into a ponytail, with her signature fringe prominently shown in the middle.

Returning to work: The singer performed in Pittsburgh on Tuesday before going back on the road.
Following her performance in Toronto on Saturday, Taylor made her way back to New York, where she has been spending the past few days both at home and with friends.
But the Grammy winner must now return to work.
The 28-year-old beauty was forced to end her Tuesday afternoon excursion early in order to go to Pennsylvania, her home state, for her performance at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh later that evening.
The tour’s North American leg began on May 8 in Glendale, Arizona, and will stop at stadiums holding more than 60,000 spectators. Although it is scheduled to end in early October, more gigs in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand are probably on the horizon, according to Taylor Swift’s website (www.taylorswift.com).
Her sixth studio album, Reputation, was released in November 2017.
