Fans shouted Taylor Swift’s name during her last show in Liverpool on Saturday, after her ex-boyfriend of six years Joe Alwyn finally spoke out about their breakup. 

Swift choked back tears as she watched the crowd.

The 34-year-old American singer changed into a flowing red dress in the middle of the show to perform Champagne Problems. He or she looked incredibly moved by the reaction of the 60,000 people at Anfield Stadium.

The crowd shouted her name after she sang the song, which she wrote with her ex-boyfriend Joe for her 2020 album Evermore. She took out her earpiece to fully enjoy the moment.

They told him, “It’s an honour to play for such a great crowd, and we appreciate that you would do that for us.”

Before yelling, “Thank you so much, Liverpool! I love you so much!”

It comes after a 33-year-old ex-boyfriend of six years finally spoke out about their breakup.

Taylor will keep going with The Eras Tour in Cardiff on Tuesday. From June 21 to June 23, she will be in London.

It comes 14 months after the breakup was made public, English star Joe, 33, finally talked about it.

He talked to The Sunday Times Style. “As everyone knows, both of us ultimately chose to keep the more private aspects of our relationship secret.”

“That was never something to sell, and I don’t see any reason to change that now.”

“And, look, this is also a little over a year ago now, and I feel lucky to be in a really great place in my life, both professionally and personally,” Joe said. I’m feeling great.

People asked Joe if he had heard Taylor’s newest record, The Tortured Poets Department. Joe said, “As I thought about what I was going to say, I would think and hope that anyone and everyone can empathise.”

Saying: ‘It’s genuinely such an honour to play for a crowd like this, that you would do something that that for us’

Joe told everyone that they broke up, “As everyone knows, we both agreed to keep the more private details of our relationship private.” I don’t see any reason to change that now (picture with Taylor in 2020). It was never meant to be sold. “This isn’t a direct answer to your question; I’m just considering what I want to say.” Joe said lastly, “I hope that everyone can relate to and understand the difficulties that come with ending a long, loving, fully committed relationship that lasted over six and a half years.” But Taylor is now dating NFL player Travis Kelce and hasn’t said anything about the breakup in public yet. For a long time, she has only written songs. Some of the songs on The Tortured Poets Department are thought to be about Joe. The sad song “LOML” by Taylor Taylor says, “I wish we could remember how we almost had it all…” 

The American pop superstar also performed at the 60,000-capacity Anfield stadium on Thursday and Friday

While singing Champagne Problems to a sold-out crowd, Taylor began looking visibly emotional, overwhelmed by her audience’s response

She removed her ear piece and so she could fully appreciate the moment before shouting: ‘I love you so much, Liverpool, thank you!’

 Taylor, who marked her 100th performance of the tour this week, also thrilled fans with another edition of Surprise Songs, where she picks songs to sing acoustically

She performed a mash up of Carolina and No Body No Crime and also a mashup of The Manuscript and Red.

Taylor will keep going with The Eras Tour on Tuesday in Cardiff. From June 21 to June 2, he will be in London.

Rihanna sang Taylor’s Surprise Song on Friday, “This Is What You Came For.” Rihanna and her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris wrote the song together.

Before the song, Taylor said, “Every time I play an acoustic set, I’m always trying to think of things you might want to hear, maybe even some things that might come as a surprise.”

“Let’s check out how we did tonight.”

She sang the song along with her song “Gold Rush” from her 2020 album Evermore. 

Taylor is still yet to speak publicly about the break-up, but has since moved on with NFL star Travis Kelce
