Back on the set of his most recent endeavour in Vancouver, Canada, was Dwayne Johnson.

The 52-year-old star from Moana 2 displayed his toned figure on Saturday while sporting shorts and a black T-shirt.

In the biography The Smashing Machine, the normally bald actor plays 55-year-old former UFC Heavyweight Champion Mark Kerr, who is portrayed with a dark wig.

Although it seemed like it was part of his outfit, The Rock had a black brace around his left knee.

The actor revealed on social media earlier this week that he had suffered an elbow injury.

After battling an elbow ailment, Dwayne Johnson returned to work on the set of his most recent movie in Vancouver, British Columbia on Saturday.

The professional wrestler added, “Anytime your film is called The Smashing Machine, well you’re gonna get smashed up,” gesturing to a section of the joint that was the size of a small melon that he likened to a “cantaloupe.”

He gave some of his own Teremana tequila to relieve the pain, even though at the time of the tape he sought his fans’ recommendations on how to heal the injury.

Following a medical examination, the actor stated that there was “only minor tissue damage” and a “ruptured bursa sac that will eventually heal.”

Oleksandr Usyk and Emily Blunt co-star with Johnson in the film The Smashing Machine.

In the drama co-written by filmmaker Benny Safdie and Kerr, 55, Blunt, 41, plays Dawn Staples, a former Playboy model and Kerr’s ex-wife.

Boxing Champ Usyk, 37, will play the legendary fighter Igor Vovchanchyn, who fought against Kerr multiple times during the UFC’s no-holds-barred period.

In addition, Kerr is serving as a production consultant.

The project, on which Johnson and Safdie are also producers, has been in the works since Seven Bucks Productions, owned by The Rock, acquired the rights in 2019.

The actress said in an interview with Howard Stern that she gave her co-star an autographed picture from Raiders of the Lost Ark at the conclusion of their most recent collaboration, and that he has since given her a number of presents, including “endless tequila.”

The current release date for The Smashing Machine is December.

The drama is planned to arrive in theatres in time to be considered for prizes.
