Taylor Swift has made new friends in London. On Tuesday night, she went out on the town in Notting Hill with them while she was on a break from the Eras tour.
The 34-year-old musician, who is back on stage in Liverpool on Thursday night, had a good time at the Argentine restaurant Casa Cruz with a new group of friends.
Taylor was joined by Kate Moss, Stella McCartney, Andrew Scott, and Phoebe Waller Bridge. Cara Delevingne and Lena Dunham, two old friends who both live in London, also came.
Along with Taylor’s close friends, Este and Danielle Haim and music legend Chrissie Hynde, the list was complete.
Taylor looked stunning in a tailored grey coat over a black corset. She accessorised with a clock choker necklace, which she wore to the Grammys before to honour her record Midnights.
To finish off her look, she wore tall shoes in a deep red colour that matched her lipstick.
For the fancy dinner, Kate, 50, looked stunning in a white satin pencil skirt and blazer that matched. She finished off her look with fishnets and platform shoes.
Stella McCartney was the designer of choice for the night out, and friends Taylor, Phoebe, and Cara all wore pieces from the same designer.
Her striped wool coat costs £1,509 and her moulded corset costs £1,150.
Phoebe copied Taylor’s style by wearing a £2,065 Stella camel coat over an all-black outfit. She was happy as she left the restaurant in a black cab with Andrew, her co-star on Fleabag, who couldn’t stop smiling after a fun night out.
Andrew is good friends with Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. The two of them and Paul Mescal’s Tortured Man Club group chat is thought to have come up with the idea for Taylor’s latest album’s title, “The Tortured Poets Department,” though Andrew has since played down that claim.
The actor has said before that he texts Taylor, and he recently went on the record to praise her work on TTPD, saying, “I think she is just a force of nature, just an extraordinary human, and this album is really, really amazing.”
Meanwhile, the singer is a big fan of Andrew’s friend Phoebe. They met when Phoebe hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live in 2019 where Taylor was the singing guest.
Taylor sent a letter in 2020 to support the person who was on Time’s 100 list of the most important people in the world.
Cara left Tuesday’s dinner with Stella, her singer girlfriend Minke, and Stella’s 17-year-old daughter Bailey Linda Olwyn Willis. They laughed as they got into a car together.
Stella’s line of £1,790 Teddy biker coats were worn by both Cara and Stella to dinner at Casa Cruz, which is described as a ‘intimate, warm and elegant neighbourhood restaurant tucked into the leafy streets of London’s Notting Hill’.
Taylor and his friends could have ordered a 250g beef fillet steak for £50 or a 1.2kg côte de boeuf, which was the most expensive item on the menu at £140.
Rita Ora had her 30th birthday party there in November 2020, even though she was on lockdown.
Though the others are new friends of Taylor, Cara has been her close friend for a long time.
Taylor and Cara are often seen out and about in New York with Selena Gomez and Blake Lively, who are also friends of Taylor. But it looks like Cara, a British model, has introduced her old friend to a new group of friends in London.
The week before, Taylor quickly dropped by to see Cara perform in her West End show Cabaret. She then left for her first gigs in the UK in Edinburgh.
In a collage of photos posted on her social media, Cara showed herself and Taylor posing in her dressing room with their arms around each other. The singer wore a £1,324 Stella McCartney jumper to show her love for the designer.
Taylor and Cara are often seen together. The last time they were seen together was at a Kansas City Chiefs game in Buffalo, New York, where Taylor was cheering on her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Cara has already shown her support for Taylor and Travis. At last year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, she said, “I’m so so happy for her.” There is something very different about them of course. I always cheer for my girl.’
