Travis Kelce disclosed last year how many calories he has to eat every day to maintain his 6-foot-5, 260-pound body in football-ready shape. The Kansas Chiefs star’s personal chef, Kumar Ferguson, is now disclosing all the specifics of his diet, which consisted of an astounding 4,000 calories.
Growing up next to Kelce and “cooking for all the bros” throughout their formative years, Ferguson was actually employed as a truck driver when he received a call from an old friend. Despite the fact that Kumar had never worked in a professional kitchen before, he chose to hire him since he needed to strengthen his diet.
Ferguson said to Kansas City Magazine, “We haven’t looked back since I flew out four days later.” He has been preparing muesli with fresh fruit for breakfast and seafood Alfredo for dinner for the athlete since 2016. Ferguson also finds inspiration for his cooking from travelling and sampling many cuisines, but he also revisits some of Kelce’s early favourites.
The Identity of Travis Kelce’s Personal Chef Travis Kelce is usually served by Taylor Swift, and the more she prepares, the more he enjoys it.
Ferguson explained, “His dad is actually a grill master, so that’s where I got fillets in our diet,” adding that he adds surprising seasoning to give his dishes a soul cuisine flare. The tight end’s other favourites include sour Hawaiian heat wings and deep-fried Australian lobster tails with yum yum sauce.
Also, the two go out to eat together. Ferguson raved about their mutual favorite butcher shop, The Upper Cut KC, for snagging grass-fed bone-in filets, and said that they’ve been hitting Rye for chicken-fried steaks with a side of sausage gravy, two sunny-side-up eggs, and mashed potatoes.
Furthermore, despite having an obviously well-balanced (and delicious?) diet, Kelce is renowned for being choosy. In fact, in a recent edition of their podcast, New Heights, big brother Jason made fun of him for the things he ate. “One of the best things about Thanksgiving… was getting to hear my dad scream at my brother to finish his food,” Jason joked in November. “Trav has a finicky palate. [He] doesn’t like white sauces, doesn’t like goat, well turns out he doesn’t like Thanksgiving food either.”
