A family of fans received the surprise of a lifetime from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at a special screening of his latest animated picture, DC’s League of Super-Pets.
The Hollywood star, who is renowned for shocking crowds with acts of kindness, went above and beyond this week to give a family a brand-new puppy.
The first moment Dwayne surprised everyone was when he showed up to the movie wearing an enormous Krypto costume and posed for pictures with the audience.
The movie was ready to begin when he entered the packed auditorium. When he took off the mask to reveal who was underneath, there were applause and gasps from the audience.
But the surprises weren’t over, because he asked the Hernandez family to come on stage and inquired as to whether they were in the building.
As the mother, father, child, and three elder siblings obediently approached, the former WWE star inquired as to whether it was accurate that they had always desired a dog.

It seems to me that you guys have dreamed of owning a dog for your entire life. Is that accurate? He inquired.
He teased, “I have something special for you guys,” and then he came back carrying a tiny puppy.
He disclosed that the puppy’s name was Quail and that the Best Friends Animal Society, a rescue organisation, had assisted in helping the family select him.
The group embraced as the theatre burst into cheers, the children sobbing as they took up the new family member.
Dwayne acknowledged on Instagram, “Stuff like this will always be the best part of my job,” as he shared the adorable picture.

He went further, saying, “This #DCSuperPets screening surprise was special, but I LOVE surprising audiences of our @sevenbucksprod films.”
“I surprised two audiences here at @cinemark in LA by dressing up as my character, KRYPTO.”
The “best part,” according to him, of the evening was “finding my little guy, Quail, a loving home with the Hernandez family.”
The picture, which stars Dwayne, Kevin Hart, John Krasinski, Keanu Reeves, Vanessa Bayer, and Kate McKinnon, will be released in theatres on Friday, July 29.
In addition to fulfilling a family’s wish for a puppy this week, Dwayne was honoured to find out that a conservation foundation had named a shark after him.
The WWE and Hollywood icon was informed of the news by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and was accompanied by a set of photos of Shark The Rock on Twitter. “@TheRock, a white shark bears your name!”
The dorsal fin of this resilient shark was injured, yet our research team was able to observe the injury heal over time! We would be delighted to welcome you to the East Coast and try to meet your shark if you ever make a visit!
