The blockbuster song “My Tears Ricochet” by Taylor Swift, which features her closest friend Blake Lively, has infuriated fans. The trailer for Colleen Hoover’s film It Ends With Us features the song. 

The highly anticipated movie trailer for Blake’s adaptation of Colleen’s book dropped last week.

The author has already faced criticism for romanticising domestic abuse in her book and for releasing a colouring book and nail polish that were drawn inspiration from it. 

Blake, 36, portrays Lily Bloom, a woman who, prior to the return of her ex-boyfriend Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar, 32), embarks on a passionate, abusive relationship with Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni, 40).

Baldoni is the director of the August 9 release of the movie.
