The cats of Taylor Swift have joined the chat!

 

The 36-year-old Jason Kelce is laughing at his brother Travis Kelce’s most recent wardrobe choice and a well-timed cat joke.

When Travis, 34, showed up to an NBA Playoffs game on Sunday, May 26, he was wearing jeans with a noticeable amount of rips. A fan of his 34-year-old, cat-loving girlfriend Taylor Swift, responded to the fashion decision in the most Swiftie way imaginable.

“What on earth was Taylor Cats doing with his jeans? Using a picture of the torn jeans, @thisisvertrying posted on X (formerly Twitter) in reference to the 14-time Grammy winner’s three cats.

Jason noticed the cat-infused humour and decided to weigh in on the conversation by reposting it. The former NFL player said, “Now that’s funny,” on X.

At the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, during the third game of the Western Conference Finals between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Dallas Mavericks, Travis was wearing the torn jeans courtside.

The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs wore sunglasses that complemented the hue of the big red apple on his white T-shirt with the pants. He is seen in pictures having fun and smiling during the NBA game alongside Patrick Mahomes and Marquise Brown, who are teammates on the Chiefs, as well as Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes.

Swift, who is well-known for being a cat lover, has three cats as pets: Benjamin Button, Olivia Benson, and Meredith Grey. Swift’s cats are well-known for having accompanied the pop diva in the music videos for “Blank Space,” “ME!”, and “Karma,” as well as on the cover of TIME’s Person of the Year edition in 2023.

Swift even alluded to her love of cats in the lyrics of “Karma.” “Karma is a soothing idea, karma is a deity, karma is my boyfriend, karma is a breeze in my hair on the weekend, aren’t you jealous because it’s not for you? Karma is a cat, sweet as honey, purring on my lap because it loves me, the singer sings.

Swift hasn’t responded to the Swiftie’s joke about her ripped jeans, but she did get the opportunity to sing songs for Travis that are rumoured to be about him lately when she was on her Eras Tour.

Travis saw Swift perform “So High School” for the first time on tour when he went to the fourth and final Paris show on May 12. Swift even sang, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” during the performance.

Travis also heard the acoustic rendition of “The Alchemy” at that performance, which is notable for its football puns, including “So when I touch down, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team.”
