During a pause in the European leg of her The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce took a romantic getaway to Lake Como, Italy, this week, and they looked as in love as ever.
Only a few days after Travis’ teammate Harrison Butker came under fire for a “bigoted and misogynistic” speech that quoted the singer’s lyrics, the 34-year-old singer and the Kansas City Chiefs star were spotted enjoying an alfresco private dinner date outside a €20,000-per-night villa at the five-star Grand Hotel Tremezzo.
Infatuated Before digging into their meals, Taylor and Travis clasped hands across the table while Taylor gazed into each other’s eyes.
Candles around the table while the pair conversed added to the evening’s fairytale atmosphere.
Cruel Summer hitmaker Taylor looked stunning in a blue dress with puffy shoulders and a sophisticated updo.
tense conclusion For his dinner date, Travis dressed in black slacks and a cream pullover.
The couple, who began dating in the summer of last year, was subsequently spotted strolling down the street holding hands while Travis gave his girlfriend a kiss.
Before heading back to their villa, Taylor shook hands with her partner and had a private conversation.
The celebrity will continue her tour on May 17, 18, and 19 at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
Travis traveled to Europe with his fiancée to assist her throughout her tour, and last week, during Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper’s shows in Paris, they were spotted dancing together.
As Taylor performed the song “So High School,” which is about her blossoming infatuation with her beau, she was seen blowing kisses at him from a VIP box.
On Wednesday’s New Heights podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs player and Jason Kelce discussed their vacation across the pond.
Later, the tight end defended using his camera’s flash to record his girlfriend’s performance. Jason called it a “Ed Kelce move,” alluding to the brothers’ father.
You know, the camera’s settings will automatically turn on the flash if it gets dark. “I don’t understand, I was just trying to capture some memorable moments on video,” he chuckled.
It was electric in there. I’m not sure if that’s because [the shows] are becoming better or if I just keep forgetting how they are. They appear to be having a great time and are really killing it up there.
Swift attended nearly every Chiefs game last season, so the three-time Super Bowl champion, who began dating the pop star in the summer, has gone to multiple Eras Tour events.
The romantic outing follows Butker, a 28-year-old standout for the Kansas City Chiefs, being attacked by Swift fans for allegedly appropriating her lyrics for his contentious commencement address.
After Butker gave the lecture on May 11 at Benedictine College, he was met with criticism right away for disparaging women, attacking the LGBTQ+ community, and slamming US President Joe Biden for endorsing abortion.
Butker alluded to Swift’s friendship with teammate Kelce without mentioning the 14-time Grammy winner before citing her 2022 song Bejeweled.
Butker said to the graduates, “As my teammate’s girlfriend says: Familiarity breeds contempt.” Swifties swiftly took to social media after hearing about the reference to criticize Butker’s message.
One person on X commented, “Who’s going to tell Harrison Butker you can’t quote Taylor Swift when you’re a misogynistic d***head?”
A third said, “It’s disgusting that Harrison Butker, who plays for the Chiefs, is this homophobe AND that he used a Taylor Swift song to support his argument that women should stay at home and that abortion is murder.”
Always honest about his traditional Catholic beliefs, Butker maintained that women ought to take care of their families and raise their children at home rather than working. He also exhorted the male students to “own your masculinity without apology.”
During his 20-minute speech, Butker congratulated the women in attendance on their incredible achievement. “I want to talk to you directly because I believe that the lies that have been told to you, women, have been the most devious.” How many of you are thinking about all the titles and promotions you will receive in your career as you sit here, about to cross this stage?
I’m willing to bet that the majority of you are most looking forward to getting married and starting a family, even though some of you may go on to have prosperous jobs.
Butker continued, saying that his wife Isabelle “would be the first to say that she began living her vocation as a wife and mother when she started living her life truly.”” Subsequently, he commended his spouse for “acquiring one of the most significant titles of all: Homemaker.”
“Turn back the cultural dehumanization of men,” he exhorted the graduating guys. “This myth that men are not needed in the home or in our communities is one of the things that afflicts our society.” Because men establish the cultural tone, chaos, dysfunction, and disorder follow suit when that tone is lost.
Swift and Kelce have not responded to the contentious address.
