A film about Sylvester Stallone’s efforts to get Rocky created is on the way!
A sitcom called Young Rock, which was based on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s life, debuted back in 2021. The three-season program presented a dramatized account of Johnson’s life, from his early years as a child to his early years as a WWE wrestler. With each episode, Rock reflects on his former life while running for president of the United States of America in the 2030s.
In 1976, Sylvester Stallone authored and starred in Rocky.Today, in 2024, we have another celebrity—Sylvester Stallone—who will have a biopic based on his life. The forthcoming film will highlight the struggle Stallone had prior to becoming a global celebrity, starting with the period before he rose to recognition as Rocky and the early years of his life. Currently associated to the project, which will be called I Play Rocky, is director Peter Farrelly.

There’s little doubt that the film will be both fascinating and thrilling. And it would be the icing on the cake if they could include Sly. A release date has not yet been set for I Play Rocky.
