In honor of how well her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, did, Taylor Swift shared posts on her Instagram and Story on Sunday.
The 34-year-old singer’s record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart last week and sold 2.61 million equivalent album units in its first week.
To start off her post, Swift wrote in the caption that her “mind is blown” and that she was “completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album.”
“Thank you for coming into your life, listening, and streaming Tortured Poets.” “Feeling completely overwhelmed,” she said next.
After writing this, the False God singer said she was excited for the start of the European part of her Eras tour.
“I was already excited to go on tour again, but why are you doing THIS?” She wrote, “May 9th can’t come soon enough.”
Swift shared a few behind-the-scenes pictures from when she was recording her album, which came out last Friday.
There were also pictures of Post Malone and Florence Welch with the act, and both of them were on the record.
Billboard says the singer tied with Jay-Z for the most number one solo records in the history of the chart.
Since then, The Tortured Poets Department has sold more copies than any other record this year. Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter came in second.
It has been said that Swift’s six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn will be a big part of the record. A source recently gave Entertainment Tonight an update on the couple’s current situation.
They said, “Taylor and Joe don’t talk to each other right now, but they try to be nice to each other.”
The source also said that the star was over his ex-girlfriend and wanted to focus on his career.
“Joe wants to keep his private life secret.” People who are interested in his personal life are too much for him because he is more shy. He is focused on his job as an actor, they said.
At the end, the source said that Swift was glad to be moving on with Travis Kelce, whom she has been dating since last year.
The source said, “Taylor is happier than ever in her relationship with Travis and is focused on the future.”
