Some of the more mysterious lines in Taylor Swift’s song “My Boy Breaks All His Favorite Toys” are being made public.
This is the third track on The Tortured Poet’s Department. Fans are asking if it’s about Joe Alwyn, Matty Healy, or someone else who has hurt the 34-year-old Shake It Off singer in the past.
“My boy only breaks his favorite toys, toys, oh/ I’m queen of sand castles he destroys, oh, oh/ Because it fit too well, puzzle pieces in the middle of the night/ I should’ve known it was only a matter of time, oh, oh.” Says the chorus.
During an interview with Amazon Music, the man behind Eras Tour said that the theme is a metaphor for a child’s favorite toy.
She began, “being someone’s favorite toy until they break you and then don’t want to play with you anymore.”
“That’s how a lot of us feel in relationships: they value us so much at first, but then all of a sudden, they break us or forget how valuable we are,” she said.
The phrase “No, no, no.” is still important to us. They were really cool the first time they saw me. That will be talked about again. “They’ll talk about that again,” she said.
The singer of “Curel Summer” is thought to have written songs for her ex-boyfriends Alwyn and Healy, Kim Kardashian (THANK YOU aIMee), John Mayer or Jake Gyllenhaal (The Manuscript), and her current boyfriend Travis Kelce (The Alchemy).
Alwyn and Healy have both said something about Taylor’s new record and the lyrics that people think are about them.
It’s said that Down Bad, I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can), Fortnight, and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived are all about the lead singer of 1975.
After she broke up with Alwyn, the English artist and Lavender Haze singer had a short relationship.
Fans thought the relationship between the two artists was short, but it goes back more than ten years and is much deeper than that.
Fun things to do Tonight caught Healy in LA walking down the street and asked him how his “Taylor diss track” stacked up against the other 30.
“Doss track?” Healy told them. “I haven’t listened to it much, but I’m sure it’s good.”
A source close to Joe told DailyMail.com, “Joe has listened to the album and is a little disappointed but not surprised at all.” The source also said, “She didn’t really trash him or defame him.” Joe isn’t going to do anything about this.
One of the insiders said that Joe knew a lot about how Taylor writes songs because they had worked on tracks together.
This person also said, “Taylor writes about her relationships in almost all of her songs, and he admires her art.”
In the past, he wrote six songs for Taylor Swift and made a lot of money from them. He is thankful that their friendship helped make him famous as well.
