During the making of the music video for her new song “So High School” from The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift wrote a sweet song to her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
As the singer of “Blank Space,” 34, sang, “Cheeks pink in the twinkling lights/tell me ’bout the first time you saw me,” he pointed out the 34-year-old Kanas City Chiefs star by focusing on the T and K and the T and S in the lyrics.
Fans quickly understood what it meant.
“At 0:43, the T and K in twinkling and the T and S in lights are a light pink color.” “I think I might cry now,” wrote a careful reader.
A huge fan yelled, “THE FOOTBALL STADIUM LIGHTS, THE TS AND TK BEING A DIFFERENT COLOR, ALL THE K’S BEING CAPITALIZED, OH TAYLOR SWIFT YOU ARE IN LOVEEEEEEEEE!”
Someone else wrote, “This song is everything.” “I’m so thankful that Travis healed her heart and is clearly the man she needs and deserves.”
At another point in the song, Swift asks, “Are you going to marry, kiss, or kill me?” This is a reference to an episode of AfterBuzz TV that the tight end made in 2016.
The Kansas City Chiefs star, 34, said he would pick Swift over Ariana Grande and Katy Perry when asked to choose.
“Damn, that’s messed up,” Kelce said. I do not wish to kill any of them.
He told the “Kill,” “Ariana, I’m sorry, I love you, but you’re gone.”
“After that, Taylor Swift would be the kiss.” What’s the last one? Kanye West? Katy Perry would be the perfect bride.
‘It’s just a game, but really I’m betting on all three for us two,’ the So High School songs say next.
Another part of the song says, “You know how to ball/I know Aristotle.”
“Brand new, full speed; teach me while your buddies play ‘Grand Theft Auto.'” Scouts honor, it’s true. You knew what you wanted and got her, man.
A fan wrote, “You can hear her smile singing this.”
While Swift was singing, Kelce and his 36-year-old brother Jason did impressions of their father Ed on their New Heights podcast. This seemed to prove that the song was about Kelce’s relationship with the Grammy winner.
“Papa Kelce getting the shoutout is just mind-blowing,” one fan said.
“Get my car door, isn’t that sweet?” are some of the other lines. They may have been talking about their first public date in October 2023 when they sang “That sweet” and “Then pull me to the back seat.”
She seemed to send a message about her boyfriend’s Super Bowl win on another song called “The Alchemy.”
Cheers, because they said there was no chance. Trying to be the best in the league. Where’s the trophy? In the bridge of the song, she sang, “He just comes running over to me.”
The chorus then sings, “Touch down, call the amateurs, and cut them from the team.” Leave the clowns behind and take the crown, baby. I’m the one to beat. The sign on your heart told me it was still mine. Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?
