Could Taylor Swift do something besides singing for a living?

This question was asked on the most recent episode of TheWrap’s UnWrapped show, and Laura Dern couldn’t help but answer since they had worked together before on the “Bejeweled” music video.

“She is the real deal,” Dern, 57, said of Swift, 34, who directed the 2022 project.

“On top of everything else, she’s an amazing person and a real filmmaker, which I saw for myself,” she said. “I can’t wait to see where that part of her journey takes her next between everything else.”

Fans thought Taylor Swift was on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter song “Bodyguard,” but she’s not.

Dern played Taylor Swift’s mean stepmother in the music video, which was based on the story of Cinderella. Haim played Swift’s stepsisters. They had opened for Swift on her Eras tour before.

Dern told Swift that she would be happy to work with her on a different project.

“Listen, I’ll go with her wherever she wants. “I love her,” the star of Jurassic World: Dominion told UnWrapped.

“Down to Earth” Taylor Swift worked with Misty Copeland, and she said it was “Incredible.”

After the well-known music video came out, Dern said the same thing on Jimmy Kimmel Live in January 2023: working with Swift was a “incredible time.”

“I couldn’t believe what a great filmmaker she is, how well-prepared she was, and how fun and spontaneous it was.” It was the best time of my life.In other words, it was amazing, Dern said.

Swift has also said that she likes being in front of the camera. It came out in December 2022 that the Grammy winner had decided to direct her first full-length movie for Searchlight Pictures.

Nothing new has been said about the project, but Dern told PEOPLE that Swift “cares deeply about everything.”
