For the most part of her tour break, Taylor Swift has avoided the spotlight. But last night, the singer was spotted out and about in the wild of Los Angeles, attending a gastropub to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

TMZ was able to get video of Swift there. This time, Travis Kelce, her boyfriend, wasn’t with her. She seemed to be wearing a light shirt, and her hair was worn down.

According to TMZ, Swift and a buddy headed to Barney’s Beanery at approximately 7:00 p.m. to attend the birthday celebration of another acquaintance. Swift attempted to maintain a low profile there, according to many people who spoke with the magazine, and she was able to enjoy her evening alone. She was at the tavern for nearly two hours before leaving, according to the insiders. After she left, she called her security in, and they settled the group’s account.

Swift discussed her reasons for being less afraid to go public now in an interview with Time in December. “I’ve discovered over the years that I don’t have the time or energy to get worked up over insignificant things,” she remarked. “Yes, there will be a tumultuous scene outside the restaurant if I go out to eat. I still want to go out to supper with my pals, though. Life is not long. Go on adventures. I’ll never get the years I spent shutting myself up in my house back. Compared to six years ago, I trust people more now.
