Throughout her career, Taylor Swift has been known to interact with her fans by occasionally revealing an Easter egg.

However, Taylor Nation, the pop star’s management group, released a vintage Easter video on Sunday showing Swift as a baby cuddled up in her mother’s arms and dressed like a cute bunny.

Given that the silent film is dated March 14, 1990, it seems like Andrea Swift is attempting to speak to her three-month-old baby in the endearing video.

The aspiring singer-songwriter is seen wearing a pink and white plush rabbit suit and is seen peering directly into the camera while waving her small arms as if to say hello. 

“Since 1989, dropping easter eggs.” Which one of the eras have you discovered to be your favorite? In the caption, it is said.

Although Easter eggs are traditionally thought of as a holiday confection, Taylor Swift uses the term “Easter egg” to refer to her new practice of revealing pop culture references or teases about impending events. This is according to People.

The pop diva seems to create an art out of using Easter eggs for self-promotion, even though many others use this most recent word for them to interact with others.

In fact, since the beginning of her career, when she was just a teenager, Swift, now 34, has gained notoriety for incorporating them into her songs and music videos.

According to the publication, her first Easter eggs were secret notes she penned to her admirers in the liner notes of her CDs, explaining the meaning of the songs in all caps. 

Swift revealed during the Grammy Awards last month that her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poet’s Department, would be available in April.

However, a lot of her Swift fans think that when she was shown holding a clock that read “Exile ends” with the numbers 2 and 3, she was hinting at the upcoming album in the Bejeweled song video.

In retrospect, given that The Tortured Poets Department was announced on February 4, many fans believe Swift may have been hinting at the arrival of a new phase in her career.

While in the studio celebrating Cruel Summer’s peak position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in October 2023, the singer and her regular collaborator Jack Antonoff appeared to be teasing her eleventh birthday in yet another Easter egg incident.

Swift ultimately shared two pictures of herself and the writer-producer raising their hands in the air, totaling eleven fingers. Many fans believe this is a reference to the impending album 11, which was released later this year. 

Just one month before Easter, in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Taylor’s hometown, is probably where this recent vintage footage of her was taken.

The Swift family was residing on a Christmas tree farm at this time in early 1990, which her father, Scott Swift, had purchased from a client while working as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch. 

The family’s vacation house in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, was the summer retreat for her and her now 32-year-old younger brother, Austin Swift.

Taylor has previously disclosed that she enjoys spending her Easter vacation with Austin competing in Easter egg breaking.
