No Gigi Hadid, no Selena Gomez, and no Karlie Kloss. This past weekend, Taylor Swift’s sidekick wasn’t a renowned music singer or a 6-foot-10-inch supermodel.

Swift was, in reality, playing the sidekick to her childhood best friend Britany Maack, who on Saturday got married in Pennsylvania to her longtime partner Benjamin LaManna. Swift was invited a year ago to be Maack’s maid of honor, a role she was thrilled to announce on social media. Swift shared a picture of the letter Maack wrote her, along with a framed picture of the two of them as small girls in costume.

The bride and her famous best friend, Maack, visited Reem Acra’s shop together after Maack saw a dress she liked in Vogue. Both women wore Reem Acra dresses for the nuptials. Swift flaunted both her long gown in a light blush tint and Maack’s white wedding dress with a lace bodice in some extremely adorable Instagram images.

“I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten,” she said in one of her endearing captions. I’ve never been a happier maid of honor than I am now that they are married. It’s good to know that America’s adorable actually is, especially for a girl with one of the most infamous, photogenic female squads in pop music right now.
