Kelly Salvaggio, who has produced more than 100 unique clock pendants for Flavour Flav over the years, made the piece. 

Salvaggio emails Complex, saying, “I did not really expect it to get this much attention, but I am glad the photographers were there to capture the moment.” “I’m honoured to be apart of something so special.”

About two weeks ago, according to Salvaggio, Flavour Flav’s crew contacted him regarding a personalised present for Eilish. Although she does not provide a precise amount, she does mention that it was finished in a few hours. Printed on sticker paper, the Barbie-styled “Billie Eilish” was affixed to the pre-existing clock face. Every one of the 300 pink Swarovski crystals that adorn the clock’s exterior was applied by hand. The necklace has no elaborate jewellery. A white rope is used to suspend the clock. The concept originated when Flavour Flav made the decision to honour Barbie by wearing in a pink suit for the Vanity Fair afterparty.
