Drake’s refusal to perform their song at a recent concert has led to accusations that he is unable to “move on” from his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
A fan recorded the 37-year-old Grammy winner while he was speaking to an audience while the 35-year-old billionaire’s 2016 song, Work, was playing on the speakers.
‘I don’t sing this song anymore,’ he said into the microphone. I can hear you sing it.
There are rumours that Drake and Rihanna had an on-again, off-again romance that lasted for a number of years before coming to an end in 2016.
Drake, who also disparaged the Bajan singer on his October 2023 album For The Dogs, is making his latest jab.
The artist, who was raised in Canada, was seen in the concert film standing within a white box that was placed on stage, wearing an all-white ensemble.
He played with a black prop, his curly, dark hair styled in straight-back cornrows.
Critics and admirers swiftly weighed in on his actions on the social media app X, calling them “weird” and “obsessive.”
Just one person commented, “He is so weird.”
Three more clown emoji were posted to the thread by someone else, and another person said, “It’s giving “I’m hurt,”” along with a sobbing laughing emoji.
According to one analysis, he is resentful of Nicki and desperate for Rihanna. It appears that none of the ladies he is attracted to want him.
Additionally, a supporter of RiRi remarked, “He really thought Rihanna was going to want to be with him after finding out he was hiding a whole baby but still pursuing her,” in reference to his six-year-old son Adonis.
Someone said, “He will never move on.”
