Recent Video Emerges of The Rock’s Touching Gesture

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a significant role with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In April, WWE and Make-A-Wish commemorated their 40-year partnership. John Cena holds the record for the most wishes granted among celebrities—more than 650 have been fulfilled in 21 years—but he’s not the only seasoned professional wrestler who still contributes significantly to the nonprofit.

In October 2022, The Rock declared his intention to donate $100,000 to Make-A-Wish. This came after The Rock lost a social media game called “Rock, Paper, Scissors” against Mr. Beast, who also donated $100,000. After winning The People’s Champion Award at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards, the future WWE Hall of Famer startled a teenage Make-A-Wish survivor in the audience by presenting her with the honour. This week at Universal Studios in Hollywood, The Great One and Make-A-Wish surprised 21 Wish Kids in what was dubbed “one of the biggest days ever for the organisation.” During a backlot tour, the eight-time WWE champion surprised the Wish Kids and their families and then acted as their tour guide. The Rock was supposed to spend an hour with everyone, but he ended up spending five hours with them all.As seen above, the 51-year-old wrestler-turned-actor was filmed by The Today Show fulfilling one of his most recent wishes. The first-ever third-generation WWE wrestler discussed his long-standing relationship with Make-A-Wish with NBC News correspondent Jacob Soboroff. He noted how the organisation has always been significant to him because his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, was responsible for the first New Jersey Wish, which was granted in 1983.It was reported that when Make-A-Wish collaborates with The Rock, the organisation obtains a significant boost in global support. This week, The Rock shared information about the organisation with his almost 400 million Instagram followers.

Since its founding in 1980, Make-A-Wish has fulfilled more than 900,000 Wishes. They serve youngsters from 2.5 to 18 years old with life-threatening conditions. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation operates in 50 additional countries through 39 overseas affiliates, and it has 59 chapters in the United States. Leslie Motter, the CEO of Make-A-Wish, was also featured in the video.

Is President to be the first WWE champion, The Rock?
For a number of years now, there have been rumours and conjectures regarding The Rock’s potential presidential run. The 2000 Royal Rumble winner has occasionally used his own remarks to further fuel the rumours.

In the video above, The People’s Champion is asked if he wants to run for president because he enjoys helping people so much during an interview with The Today Show at Universal Studios. The Rock chuckled and responded thoughtfully.“So, to be completely mature and certain, I believe in working hard, controlling the things that can be controlled, kicking ass, and giving back. Thus, that’s the best I can tell you,” The Rock chuckled.
Jacob Soboroff, an NBC News correspondent, noted that this was not a “no” response. Rock responded, laughing once more.

“Look what I did there? … I adore days such as this because they allow us to demonstrate to the world that there are many positive things in the world, dude. Thus, that’s good,” he remarked.
The powerful figure in Hollywood also assured Soboroff that he would try his hardest to unite the nation, regardless of the outcome of the 2024 presidential election.
