Billie Eilish shared a flashback picture on her Instagram Story to honour her close friend Justin Bieber on his 30th birthday.

The 22-year-old hitmaker was seen hanging out outside with friends when she put her head on the Sorry singer’s shoulder with affection in the photo.

The Grammy Award-winning singer called Bieber the “birthday boy” in the caption of her photo. She previously ended a relationship with a partner after having a dream about Christian Bale.

Since her early years, Eilish has been a fan of Bieber’s music, and the latter contributed vocals for a remix of her 2019 song Bad Guy.

Critics gave the remixed version of Bad Guy mixed reviews, despite the fact that the original version of the song was well-received by them.

Just one week after disclosing via an Instagram post that her upcoming third studio album had been mastered, the musician revealed her snapshot with Bieber.

In her post, Eilish included three pictures and a mirror image of herself wearing a ski mask decorated in white stars.

In a 2021 Rolling Stone interview, the singer’s brother and frequent collaborator Finneas O’Connell disclosed that her third album was formally in production.

The 26-year-old producer said to the media outlet that at the time, he and his sister were experimenting with different musical concepts.

“We are collecting debris in the ocean with the net.” After that, you sort through everything, find the gold, and create an album, he explained.

The singer continued by saying that there were still “interesting skeletons” to work on, even though many of Eilish’s songs were still in the early stages of development.

Along with saying that he and his sister have “a lot to say” with their new songs, O’Connell also said that he was “really excited” about the project.

In a December of last year interview with The Cookout, Eilish hinted at the possibility of new music.

The Academy Award-winning actress said that her film was “in the final stages” of development at the time.

She did say that the record was “getting there,” even though it wasn’t ready for release yet. 

The Purpose of My Creation? The singer added that it was “very exciting” to think of sharing new music with her fans. 

The forthcoming third album by Eilish is not yet scheduled for release.
