A video of the unusual couple chatting during a break at the ceremony in Santa Monica, California’s Barker Hangar on Sunday has gone viral. At the awards ceremony, 22-year-old Billie won TV Performance of the Year for her role in the Swarm series, surpassing other nominees Jon Hamm, Ayo Edebiri, and Meryl Streep. Kylie, the queen of Australian music, performed her smash single “Padam” from the previous year at the ceremony.

Billie and Kylie appeared to be leaking secrets during a break at the celebrity-studded awards presentation, and footage of the two quickly went viral. As the Australian pop queen moved in for a conversation, the Bad Guy singer pulled a grimace, covering her lips and gesturing with her thumb to indicate something behind her.

Billie was unimpressed with social media stars at the bash

Some astute TikTok users were able to deduce their meaning, with several speculating that Billie was openly dissatisfied that social media celebrities had shown up at the People’s Choice Awards. The Oscar-winning singer allegedly stated, “I am like, there is some like, TikTokers here over there.” The thing is, I really do not require it.

On the other hand, someone else thought that Billie ushered in the clandestine meeting of the gossips by whispering, “Take a look at that guy,” to Kylie. Some were impressed that she kept her lips covered while she spoke to the Spinning Around singer, while others made fun of her, saying things like, “She saw the lip reading tiktoks (for real).”

Some were upset that the cameraman had to cut into the couple’s private chat; one person even went so far as to say, “Bros all up in her business like.” As soon as Billie discovered she was being filmed, she frowned, tossed her hair over her shoulder, and continued talking while keeping her hand over her lips.

Some fans even went so far as to say that TikTok stars were not invited to the Hollywood awards, lending credence to Billie’s claims that social media influencers are not allowed. One Twitter user exclaimed, “She is so real for that!” while another concurred, writing, “And she is right!” Put an end to behaving like tiktokers are famous. “And she is right, they do not belong there,” a third person added.
