After the tight end’s team’s Christmas Day loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, the “Anti-Hero” singer joined the Kelce.
Following the Kansas City Chiefs’ 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas Day, Taylor Swift strolled hand in hand with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Photographer Nick Wagner of the Kansas City Star posted a picture of the two holding hands as they strolled along an Arrowhead Stadium corridor on his Instagram Story following the game. Wagner wrote, “Spent my Christmas waiting for these two lovebirds,” as the post’s caption.
Swift, 34, accessorised her look with a black bomber jacket, black tights, a red sweater, black heeled loafers and a black and grey plaid miniskirt. Kelce, 34, was dressed in a cable knit white jumper, grey pants and a Chiefs letterman jacket.
In the first quarter of the Christmas Day game, the Raiders surprised the Chiefs by scoring after two fumbles by the Chiefs in a span of seven seconds. The Chiefs finished the season with a 9-6 record after coming close but short of a full recovery.
The encounter occurred only a few days after Swift’s friendship with Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs, was highly praised by Mahomes in a CBS Mornings interview.
“She’s the best in her field, and to watch how she drives and develops into that, man, that’s really cool to hear about and see, and now I get to see it firsthand through Brittany and Travis’ eyes,” Patrick remarked during the interview.
The two-time Super Bowl champion disclosed that “everyone stayed away” and “just let [Kelce] do what he was doing” when Swift and Kelce initially started dating.
“Then, he started bringing Taylor around, and he realised how cool of a person she was, and she is, and so for us, there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning,” said Patrick.
Patrick said, “She’s just part of Chiefs Kingdom now.” “And she’s part of the team.”
“It’s great that she’s welcomed Brittany, and they’ve developed a friendship as well,” the quarterback remarked of Swift’s developing relationship with Patrick’s wife Brittany, as Patrick told CBS.
“So for me, it’s Travis, man, and he’s lucky enough to be with a great girl, and a great woman, and it’s been cool to interact with her,” he said.
After spending some time with Swift, Patrick expressed his satisfaction with her personality, saying, “That’s why I think her and Travis match so well.”
Additionally, Tavia, the wife of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, and their daughter Gracie shared pictures of Swift on her birthday earlier this month, showing her carrying a fancy gift box that was labelled, “To Taylor, from the Hunt family.”
“Happy birthday to this queen,” Gracie posted on Instagram. “Extremely gifted, lovely, captivating, and brilliant…The simplest Person of the Year selection ever made by Time Magazine. I hope you have the most fortunate and successful year yet.”
A few days after Gracie shared on Instagram her birthday homage to Swift, she changed the post’s title to disclose that her family had given the singer a microphone purse from Judith Leiber Couture, the ideal accessory for a pop star of Swiftian proportions.
The Kansas City Star reports that Tavia verified the contents of the box in a comment on her own birthday post honouring Swift. The vocalist “is actually one of the kindest, most intelligent people I’ve ever met,” the woman added.
