After disclosing the truth about the chronology of her affair with Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift sparked a fan frenzy when she made an unexpected appearance at the New York premiere of friend Emma Stone’s new movie Poor Things.
The 33-year-old musician arrived at the location in a chauffeured black SUV, surrounded by security.
Swift looked stunning in a glossy black fur coat and her trademark red lip for the occasion on Wednesday.
Loose tendrils of her dirty blonde hair cascaded down the front of her silky black midi dress.
The Anti-Hero singer, who was named TIME’s Person of the Year, looked fierce in high-heeled heels that flaunted her red manicure.
She held a glittering gold-handled hardshell handbag.
Swift accessorized her red lips with winged eyeliner and a hint of warm brown shadow on the lids.
Those fortunate enough to see Swift’s entrance hurriedly took pictures from the sidelines.
The music sensation exited the premiere with her expectant friend Suki Waterhouse, who was escorted by her boyfriend Robert Pattinson.
Swift revealed her relationship with football player Travis Kelce for the first time in public within the pages of her Time cover story. She began by making a remark on the podcast that Kelce and his brother both host.
“I thought it was metal as hell when Travis very sweetly put me on blast on his podcast,” is how it all began. The singer stated, “We started hanging out right after that,” clarifying that their memorable first date was not their first public visit to a game.
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game?” she clarified. We’d never be insane enough to push someone away on a first date.
The twelve-time Grammy Award winner also mentioned the attention she receives at his Kansas City Chiefs games.
“When you say a relationship is public, it means that I get to watch him do what he loves, we support each other, and we don’t give a damn about other people.”
Emma, who looked stunning in a plunging gown, was questioned about Swift on the red carpet in the meanwhile.
The two have been pals since 2008.
When Emma Falls in Love, a vault track that Swift recently released, has fans speculating that it’s about Emma’s brief affair with her now-husband Dave McCary.
“You would need to inquire with her,” she retorted slyly.
Furthermore, she refused to say whether the hitmaker of Wildest Dreams will be there to support her at the major premiere.
“We shall see,” Stone said to Rachel Smith, an ET correspondent.
Alongside Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, and Ramy Youssef, she plays the lead role in the dark comedy that is based on Alasdair Gray’s book of the same name.
According to IMDb, the movie centers on Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman who is revived by the astute and unconventional scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Dafoe).
Yorgos Lanthimos directed it for Searchlight Pictures.
Fans of Swift, who consider her to be the true queen of Easter eggs, conjectured that her appearance might be evidence that she will soon make her directorial film debut.
Variety said last year that Swift would be directing a Searchlight film, which would be based on a screenplay she penned.
The source was informed at the time by Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield that Taylor is a unique artist and storyteller. Working with her as she sets off on this fascinating and novel creative adventure is a true pleasure.
with 2021, the multi-Grammy Award winner made her directing debut with a short film, All Too Well, starring Dylan O’Brien from Teen Wolf and Sadie Sink from Stranger Things.
It was speculated to be about her breakup with actor Jake Gyllenhaal, whom Swift dated from the age of 20 to the 29.
She also directed the music videos for Willow (2020), Cardigan (2020), and Bejeweled (2022) herself. Her Anti-Hero music video debuted last year.
In addition, she co-directed a number of music videos, such as Lover (2019) and Mine (2010).
Swift has declared in the past that she ‘totally [loves] telling stories’ and that she ‘would absolutely love’ the chance to do it in a picture.
Her Wednesday outing in New York City occurred just hours after TIME named her their Person of the Year.
Among those nominated for the award were Sam Altman, Barbie, King Charles, Vladimir Putin, and Swift, whose extensive 66-date tour made her a billionaire this year.
Taylor posted the magazine cover, in which she is pictured with her cherished pet cat Benjamin Button, on X/Twitter.
She published a humorous account of her initial conversation with the publication when they approached her with the honor next to the picture.
“Time Magazine: We would like to name you Person of the Yea-” she wrote.
Me: I’d like to bring my cat.
In the first hour following its publication, the post garnered over 224,000 likes.
I’ve never felt more content and joyful, or more free and fulfilled creatively, as I do right now. In an interview on the magazine cover, Swift—who is hailed as a “master storyteller of the modern era”—said, “It feels like the breakthrough moment of my career, happening at 33.”
This year saw Swift’s extraordinarily successful Eras Tour and concert film, as well as the debut of her reworked ‘1989’ album and the public scrutiny of her relationship with tight end Travis Kelce. She even has college courses written about her.
