Last month, the Chiefs tight end visited Argentina to witness Swift’s performance.
On Sunday night, Taylor Swift was seen supporting Travis Kelce.
The 33-year-old singer of “Lavender Haze” observed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, and his squad play the Green Bay Packers in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from a box.
Swift was seen taking pictures of the field while wearing a bright red coat. The Grammy winner was filmed filming herself as she walked around the box in a video that fans shared on X, formerly Twitter. Brittany Mahomes, the spouse of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, joined Swift.
PEOPLE was informed last week by a source that the pair was the “real deal.”
The person close to the Kansas City Chiefs player stated exclusively, “They’re still a little shocked by all of it—that he’s dating the Taylor Swift, but they’ve seen how down to earth she is with his friends and family.”
The insider said that Travis and the famous musician are “growing” their connection because they continue to recognize and value each other’s achievements despite having achieved success in separate spheres.
The source told PEOPLE, “They’re both really hard workers, and he acknowledges her art is hers, and he has what’s his.” “He is aware of the challenges their relationship presents, and as he stated, he isn’t allowing the publicity to hinder their progress as a couple.”
“Their relationship is about the two of them, and he sees Taylor for who she is and vice versa,” the source said in closing.
Travis went to Buenos Aires, Argentina last month to see Taylor perform as part of her Eras Tour. Travis first got to know her father there. A few days later, Travis and Jason talked about their experiences in South America in an episode of the podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce (Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment).
Jason, 36, also chastised Travis for leaving Scott, 71, “hanging” after Taylor altered the lyrics of “Karma” to include a credit to the Chiefs tight end.
Travis responded, “Yeah, Mr. Swift, I apologize big guy.” “Oh, dude. I didn’t notice that. I’m also always up for a high five. Huge dude with five fingers. Sorry, Mr. Swift, but that’s the most electrifying thing you can do at an event.
Travis stated that although he “had a little bit of a clue” about the lyric alteration, he was nevertheless “shocked” when he “heard it come out of her mouth.”
Travis’ parents have admitted that, despite not having been huge Swifties fans before, they have now become fans.
Donna Kelce revealed to PEOPLE last month that she would “not” characterize herself as a Swiftie, saying, “My era was Earth, Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, things like that.” More of my music is that.
