Alongside his spouse Lauren Hashian and musician Eric Zayne—who had previously played the song “Exile” that was featured in Johnson’s film Black Adam—the 51-year-old actor celebrated the holiday. (Hashian, 39, also directed the music video for the song!)

Johnson posted a video on Instagram on Friday, in which Zayne was seen playing the piano and Hashian was seated next to him. The two of them sang along to Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are,” with the actor leaning over the top of the grand piano to join in.

“A lil’ Thanksgiving tickling of the ivorys with the two beautiful voices and talents of @laurenhashianofficial & @ericzayne and me just making up lyrics to an all time classic @billyjoel ,” Johnson captioned the photo.

Photographs and videos from their get-together were posted by Zayne on Instagram. Among the amusing clips were of the musician “serenading” Johnson and the group playing other tunes, such as Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror.”

“Lol, when you know, you know Zayne started his caption, “Best #Thanksgiving ever with @therock & his incredible family and friends.”

“Couldn’t ask for more than to be serenaded by one of the best voices in the world @laurenhashianofficial. ,” he went on. “You and all of my blessings in life, @prettybtches_bychloe, have my sincere gratitude ️ I hope that everyone has a fantastic holiday.

Johnson commented, saying, “Maaan we had fun, brother ️.” We adore you and Chloe, and we can’t wait to show off our mana. Many thanks for Thanksgiving.”

“The greatest Friendsgiving ever! First one, but definitely not the last ️️️,” Hashian commented. “The spontaneous EZ karaoke was fantastic Thank you EVERY DAY for your musical blessings! Thank goodness you’re in our lives! ️.”

After Johnson and Hashian started dating in 2007, they had two daughters, Jasmine, who will age eight next month, and Tiana, who will turn five, before Johnson and Hashian got married in 2019. (The actor from Jungle Cruise is also the father of Simone Johnson, a 22-year-old daughter of his ex-wife Dany Garcia.)

Johnson said last week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he will shortly start work on the live-action version of the 2016 Disney animation picture Moana, in which he will be lending his voice to the character Maui.

He also said that Lin Manuel-Miranda will be returning as a songwriter for all of the original music featured in the animated version, and that Thomas Kail, the director of the “amazing” Hamilton, will be directing the next project.

I’m impatient. Here’s the problem, Jimmy, listen,” Johnson said to host Jimmy Fallon, before picking up a microphone and belting out the hit song “You’re Welcome” from his role. Fallon, 49, then began participating in the chorus.

The live-action version of Moana was originally made public when Johnson made the announcement about the project in April at Disney’s 2023 shareholder meeting.
