NFL player Travis Kelce gave a sincere “shout out” to Taylor Swift as she kicked off her Eras Tour stop in Brazil, not long after flying to Argentina to see her perform.
On Friday’s special episode of the New Heights podcast, the 34-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs made the comment alongside his brother, Jason Kelce. He might have been implying that the Grammy winner will be at his next game.
During one of the parts, Philadelphia Eagles center Kelce and his brother looked at fan art.
One of the brothers’ depictions included Travis’s visage over a US map on a shirt, referencing a joke about how the hitmaker of Bad Blood was supposed to have made him famous.
“On the map,” he remarked, gesturing to the cartoon picture. I had to put my face on the map, of course. Thanks especially to Taylor!
The athlete flew himself to South America last weekend to see Swift perform in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She had postponed a concert the day before owing to terrible weather, and on Saturday, he was spotted encouraging her.
Earlier this week, Travis disclosed on his podcast that Taylor wasn’t exactly delighted with the circumstances. She obviously wasn’t too happy about it because she kind of takes pleasure in her ability to perform outside in inclement weather.
‘But you gotta do what gotta do when it’s unsafe for her and her crew and everyone else in the stadium,’ he went on.
But because of the cancelation, the couple got to spend more time together and were seen out and about having dinner in the city together, with Taylor’s father Scott accompanying them.
The actress was seen sprinting up to Kelce after her performance on Saturday, and the two of them shared a passionate kiss on camera.
Since then, the singer of Blank Space has continued her global tour with her Eras Tour, beginning this Friday with a three-day performance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are scheduled to play at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, November 20, next week. It is unknown at this time if the singer will be attending.
Travis stated on the New Heights podcast, “We’re going to have a bunch of Cleveland Heights natives in the house,” without disclosing if the pop star would be present.
Kelce went on, “And then some friends who are Eagles fans and some friends who are just coming in for a Super Bowl rematch, man,” maybe dropping a clue that Taylor might still make an appearance.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Travis and the singer’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, as well as Andrea and Scott Swift, will reportedly meet for the first time during the big game, even though Taylor’s participation is still uncertain.
Attending four Chiefs games this season, the singer has already met Kelce’s parents; most significantly, Travis got to spend time with her father, Scott, at the concert in Buenos Aires last week.
In a designated VIP area, the couple could be seen standing close to one another while they excitedly watched the singer take the stage.
Even though Scott is an Eagles supporter, social media users were quick to point out that he was sporting a Chiefs lanyard.
In the most recent episode of the podcast, Travis made fun of his brother by saying, “Got him over to the good side, baby.” Getting each of the deserving ones to come over one by one.
In response, Jason said, “Scott, what are we doing?” Scott, are you going to allow this man’s demonic appearance and bond with your daughter dissuade you from being a lifelong fan? Outrageous.
The tight end with the Chiefs then joked, “I could have convinced him last night at supper.” as soon as I met him.
‘Taylor and Travis have met each other’s parents so it only makes sense that they’d want their parents to meet each other as things between them are growing pretty serious,’ a source recently told Us Weekly.
The pair ‘have a really deep bond with their parents and it’s absolutely crucial that their families integrate effortlessly, as well,’ the insider said.
The insider said that Swift will try to attend the game even though she is performing in Brazil through Sunday. She finds it quite vital to be present when their parents are together.
