Although Taylor Swift is most renowned for her phenomenal music career, she may soon be adding “real estate mogul” to her résumé as she owns eight residences spread across four states. Forbes estimates that the 33-year-old superstar, who just finished the first leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour in the United States, is worth $570 million, of which $150 million is real estate.
Swift has gone from being a farm girl to becoming a well-known pop sensation. Before the Swift family relocated to a five-bedroom house in Wyomissing, a town outside of Reading, fifteen minutes away, her ascent to fame started on a Christmas tree farm in Cumru Township, Pennsylvania.
She picked up the guitar and showed an early interest in music at this Georgian Colonial-style house. Swift persuaded her parents to relocate to Nashville when she was 14 years old in order to focus on her singing career. It was in Nashville that she made her first official real estate acquisition in 2009—a apartment she still owns today.
Since then, Swift has dispelled skeptics and accumulated eight different residences, from an 11,000-square-foot historical landmark in California to a $150 million penthouse in Manhattan’s TriBeCa neighborhood. Amidst a lucrative tour that Forbes predicts will make her a billionaire by the end of this year, there’s no telling how much more she’ll conquer in the real estate industry (or what new songs she’ll sing about them).

1.WEST VILLAGE APARTMENT, NEW YORK
Swift rented this 1870 brick townhouse between 2016 and 2017 while her $50 million TriBeCa loft was being renovated. The townhouse gained notoriety after Swift’s hit song “I rent a place on Cornelia Street.” This little property is now formally for sale at a whopping $17.9 million, or it can be rented for $45,000 per month. The area has a large indoor pool, seven baths, and four bedrooms. Double-height ceilings, original Parisian brickwork, and an array of opulent chandeliers are examples of luxurious elements. One of her most exquisite homes, it combines new renovations with an aged charm to create an opulent and expensive living space.
2. TRIBECA PENTHOUSE, NEW YORK
In an old TriBeCa building at 155 Franklin Street, Swift purchased not one, but two adjacent penthouses in 2014. They were transformed into a single, spacious duplex with a billiards room, a grand staircase, and ten bedrooms and ten bathrooms. What’s the best part? Peter Jackson, the director of The Lord of the Rings, sold these houses to her.
Page Six claims that Taylor made this condo available to Sophie Turner and her children so they could reside there while she handled custody issues following her acrimonious divorce from Joe Jonas. According to Cosmopolitan, Turner has apparently been spotted exploring the neighborhood and seemed “unbothered and incredible.” Naturally, if we were residing in this opulent apartment in a fantastic location, we would agree.
3. NEIGHBORING TRIBECA TOWNHOUSE, NEW YORK
Quickly extending its reach, three years after acquiring the two TriBeCa penthouses, it acquired the century-old townhouse adjacent to it. The property is thought to be worth $18 million and has a home theater, gym, guest suite, and terrace, among other opulent features. Leopoldo Rosati, a designer and architect, completely refurbished the building that was constructed in 1915.
4.TRIBECA NEW YORK CONDO EXPANSION, NEW YORK
Earlier in 2018, the 12-time Grammy winner increased her ownership of the highly sought-after 155 Franklin Street by a significant amount when she paid $9.75 million for a three-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot penthouse located on the second floor of the same TriBeCa building. Before, the residence belonged to billionaire Jeremy Phillips.
5BEVERLY HILLS ESTATE, LOS ANGELES
Swift has had three houses in Los Angeles in total, but her 1934 Beverly Hills estate, which she bought in 2015, is the most remarkable. Swift decided to purchase the 10,982-square-foot mansion, which was previously owned by movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn, and is currently undergoing restoration in order to become a historic landmark.
6WATCH HILL SEASIDE ESTATE, RHODE ISLAND
Taylor Swift hosts her renowned A-list parties at her 12,000-square-foot beach estate, which is perched on the town’s highest point in Rhode Island (she’s known for hosting Independence Day celebrations here). Featuring seven bedrooms, eight fireplaces, an amazing pool, and views of the shoreline stretching over seven hundred feet, this estate is among her most remarkable purchases.
7BEVERLY HILLS MIDCENTURY MODERN HOME, LOS ANGELES
This ranch-style house, built in the 1950s in Hollywood in the style of midcentury modern architecture, is no longer owned by Swift. With its prime location at the foot of verdant hills, the house is light-filled and spacious. The ranch, which has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, has a modest exterior but boasts white vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling glass, and the most amazing feature of all—a 1,000-bottle climate-controlled wine cellar. She advertised the house in May 2018 after purchasing it in 2012. In September, it sold for $2.65 million, $300,000 less than what was originally requested. Nevertheless, the sale brought her a total of $850,000.
8. GREEK REVIVAL ESTATE, NASHVILLE
Swift bought Northumberland Estate, a large Greek Revival house in Nashville, as her second residence, staying true to her roots despite leading a jet-set lifestyle. Herringbone floors, marble fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, and a 5,600-square-foot main house with a 2,000-square-foot guesthouse are all elements of the exquisitely built property, which she paid $2.5 million for in 2011.
9MUSIC ROW PENTHOUSE, NASHVILLE
In 2009, Taylor Swift, then just twenty years old, entered the Nashville real estate market by buying a 3,240-square-foot condo on Music Row. The opulent Adelicia building is home to this industrial-style condo, which boasts enormous floor to ceiling windows and an open concept design. According to reports, the celebrity created the apartment’s interior design herself. She called it “whimsically girlie,” comparing its aesthetic to that of a “shabby-chic Alice in Wonderland.”
