Rare details about Keanu Reeves’ connection with Alexandra Grant have been revealed.

The 58-year-old action hero recently discussed his “last moment of bliss” with the 49-year-old musician in an interview with People. Reeves stated, “A couple of days ago with my honey,” referring to his longstanding partner, with whom he has been dating since the year 2019.

“We were sleeping. We had a connection. We were giggling, grinning, and laughing. I feel fantastic. Simply put, being together was wonderful, he remarked.

The tender exchange provided a window into Reeves and Grant’s generally private relationship. When they walked the red carpet together and held hands at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in November 2019, the couple made their relationship public. The couple has since been spotted out and about together in New York City, Berlin, and Broadway shows.

The most recent photo of Reeves and Grant together was taken in Los Angeles in June 2022 while they were attending the MOCA Gala at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Although the Matrix actor and the visual artist began dating more than three years ago, they had known each other for more than ten years. The two worked together to write and draw the books Ode to Happiness (2011) and Shadow (2016). X Artists’ Books is a small publishing business that focuses on “thoughtful, high-quality, artist-centered books that fit within and between genres,” according to its website. The actor and the Los Angeles-based artist co-founded the company in 2017.

Actress Jennifer Tilly revealed to Page Six in February 2020, just a few months after Reeves and Grant made their red carpet debut, that the two have been dating “for years” in reality.

“I recall Grant telling me about a year and a half ago that Keanu Reeves was his lover, and I was like, ‘Wait. What? What? What?’” Tilly remembered that time. “It truly amazes me how in the last five months, all of a sudden, she attends an event with him and everyone starts yelling, ‘It’s his new girlfriend,’ even though she has attended many events with him previously. The fact that he’s been dating her for a while has just recently come to light.

Grant admitted to Vogue that she had conflicting feelings about their decision to make their relationship public after going public. She told the magazine in March 2020, “I think everyone I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fascinating.”

When asked if she saw herself getting married to Reeves, she responded, “Over a bottle of wine…I wish I could tell you. My identity is deeply rooted in love at all levels. How’s that for sidestepping the inquiry? I do not think that seclusion is the answer. As a painter, I go through periods of solitude, but I also enjoy the feeling of being in partnerships.

Reeves apparently gave gifts to the stunt team on the set of his newest movie, John Wick: Chapter 4, it was revealed this week.
